These terms apply when you use Backyard Ballistics, a free public-beta browser game provided by Daedalus Work LLC.
Eligibility and agreement
You must be at least 13 to use the service. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, use it only with a parent or guardian's permission. By creating or joining an online room, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the Privacy Notice.
Permission to play
Daedalus gives you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable permission to access and play the game for lawful, noncommercial purposes. No ownership rights are transferred.
Room conduct
- Share room codes only with people you intend to invite.
- Do not use identifying, hateful, threatening, sexual, unlawful or infringing nicknames.
- Do not harass players, interfere with the service, bypass limits, scrape, probe, reverse engineer for abuse, automate play, or exploit defects to harm others.
- Do not attempt to obtain another person's host token, session token or private information.
Access may be limited or ended to protect players, the service or legal rights.
Beta service and availability
The game is in public beta. Features, balance and availability may change. Rooms are temporary, may end during maintenance or failure, and are not suitable for storing important information. We do not promise uninterrupted service, universal device compatibility or preservation of scores and room state.
Ownership and feedback
The game software, name, visual design, characters and other content are owned by Daedalus Work LLC or used with permission. You retain rights in feedback you write. If you voluntarily send feedback, you give Daedalus permission to use it to evaluate and improve the game without an obligation to pay you.
Safety, warranties and responsibility
The game depicts stylized fictional combat. Take reasonable breaks and stop if motion or flashing effects cause discomfort; reduced-effects controls are available. The service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law. Daedalus does not exclude rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Daedalus is not responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of the service.
